I first happened upon WPKN in 1973 (It's scary how long ago that seems when written down!) What followed were my "Wonder-bread" years. Thrust into a situation so different from what I experienced growing up on the Jersey shore, the PKN family (staff and listeners alike) challenged me to explore brave new worlds.

I am the person I am today (for better or for worse) in large part because of my experience of being part of the PKN community. Over the years I've led many lives. I ran the Carriage House Coffee House for a few great years in the late 70's; moved to Canada to work with performers Paul and Lutia Lauzon; worked in Children's theatre; was a juggler/magician; and then created my own show, "Bubblerific". I performed "Bubblerific" in concerts, festivals, libraries and schools for fifteen years. Some of the highlights include performances in the Baltimore Museum of Art during "Family Days" of the Dr. Seuss "From Then to Now" exhibit; opening for Shari Lewis in a series of shows at the Oakdale Theater; being awarded the "Most Special Place in the Celebration's Heart" by the Sono Arts Celebration; and, of course, having a song written about my show and recorded internationally (see web page).

I'm now (for the last 14 years) a Connecticut teacher. I recently left Coleytown Middle School in Westport, where I taught for six years. While there, I wrote the computer curriculum for the Middle Schools, and started an in-house TV studio at C.M.S. It's called C.T.V., and the kids and I put together a 10-15 minute broadcast of the school's news and events every morning. You can click here to find out more about Coleytown, and click here to find out more about C.T.V. My friend Mary Vickery from Bedford Middle School and I won the 2004 CECA Educator Award. You can read about that by clicking here.

I now am working with my friend Jim Honeycutt at Staples High, teaching classes in radio, video and audio production, and helping Jim to advised the high school radio and TV stations.

Somehow, I've been lucky enough to fall in love with a wonderful woman, and Joni and I have been together now for 16 years. We live in Fairfield, CT. with our cats Camille, Chloe and Charlie who run the show, and, for the most part, put up with us.

Through it all, PKN has been my constant (I guess family always is!)
