6th Grade Drama assignments:

TURN IN 2 TYPED COPIES OF 1 POEM

Shel Silverstein or Jack Prelutsky

Poems must be 16-36 full lines long (as explained in class)

Make sure your name is typed in the upper right hand corner

Avoid poems with “nonsensical” words

Avoid poems with lots of repetition

MONDAY/THURSDAY CLASS
Have your poem memorized for Monday 4/28
We will be working on the T-Chart (what a good presentation looks like/sounds like) in class on Monday
Presentations begin on Thursday (volunteers 1st and then you'll be called on) ***Like a test, you must go if you're called upon

TUESDAY/FRIDAY CLASS
Have your poem memorized for Tuesday 4/29
We will be working on the T-Chart (what a good presentation looks like/sounds like) in class on Tuesday
Presentations begin on Friday (volunteers 1st and then you'll be called on) ***Like a test, you must go if you're called upon

On the turn in day, you'll use one copy to read the poem aloud and I'll use the 2nd copy for notes.
We'll then work on the "T chart" we discussed in class to determine what a good presentation looks and sounds like
